Re: The End Game

I find it absolutely galling that Mario Draghi, the man responsible for "massaging" Greek figures to let them into the Euro is now in charge of the ECB and trying to wring blood from a stone. The mouse in charge of the cheese doesn't even come close to this appalling scenario.

Re: Greek newspapers

If you read the following article you'll realise why so few newspapers and news channels tell the truth. Very interesting article, and makes me feel somewhat vindicated by choosing not to have bought newspapers for many years now. My reason for reading Greek newspapers online is an ongoing attempt ...

Greek newspapers

Is there such a thing as a Greek newspaper that is not anti Syriza? I have been following the recent developments both here and online and have come to the speedy conclusion that Tsipras and co are on a hiding to nothing if you believe the Greek papers. I know in another thread that Clio was outrage...

Re: Carry On Shrinking

Personally I'm all for this as I find people with carry on bags the size of Belgium more than a little irritating. I also find it staggering when I see people in an airport donning multiple layers of clothes because their cases are too heavy as well. Traveling light is the way to go although a forme...

Re: DVLA changes affecting car hire

DVLA will inform anyone who enquires about penalty points on your licence, at which point the phone is handed to the driver who identifies him/herself through some questions and the person initiating the call has to pay £10. With the changes coming in and the amount of people phoning it's a nice lit...

Re: DVLA changes affecting car hire

The rear side has a translation of your name and nationality which seems to satisfy any Greek requirements although I've never tried to use it in the UK.

Re: DVLA changes affecting car hire

A few times over the years I have hired cars in Greece using my Saudi licence - I think it's just used as proof of who you are rather than ability to drive.

Re: The Plan

This what it says: Greece is drawing up drastic plans to nationalise the country's banking system and introduce a parallel currency to pay bills unless the eurozone takes steps to defuse the simmering crisis and soften its demands. Sources close to the ruling Syriza party said the government is dete...

Re: Help needed

......θα μείνει η βέφα στην Μόσχα.
It's in the form of someone arriving at an airport and going through a customs check. I just couldn't work out what it meant as I tried different connotations in google translate thinking it may have been a typing error.

Help needed

Does anyone know what βέφα means? I came across it in a book and google translate says it means "vefa". Any help greatly appreciated.

The playground bully and his hangers on are ganging up on the new kid. Oh wouldn't it be lovely if he could bloody their noses.

Re: Valentines Day

Firefox was having trouble on some systems resulting in no sound during live streaming or watching videos - version 36 seems to have sorted it out.

Apologies for being off topic.
