I hate the developed coastal areas of both Spain and Italy - its also happening in Turkey now too. Almost every inch of long sandy beaches covered by sunbed concessions or beach bars or roped off for exclusive use of hotels. I hope this really doesn't happen inGreece. Tim, the car hire company we ususally use also prefers cash or you pay 3% extra if you pay with credit card. May be it's for tax avoidance or maybe they simply want to avoid losing 3% of the car hire fee to the Credit card companies?

I don't know if anyone is able to answer this question but here goes....... A friend of mine who lives in Crete is of the opinion that anyone who owns a property there is eligible to vote, even if he only uses the house as a holiday home. All that is needed is a form obtained from the council office...
