I use HIFX but I can't remember having to do this. Maybe I had to prove evidence of our address in the UK but not here. I can't remember even doing this though??? We regularly transfer money when we are here.

Cruc, just because your architect says that he will visit 3/4 times a week doesn't mean he will nor that your house will be built exactly to plan. This is Greece! However, given the ongoing pfaff about legalisation, I guess you stand more chance than you would have done 5 years ago. I am aware many ...

Ours was a deliberate error as well - submit smaller plans to planning, charge client for larger plans given to builder, and architect puts in pocket the money they've made submitting the smaller plans!!!!! The same applies to pools as the cost of planning permission depends on the size of your cons...

I agree Kilkis. Sky is NOT useless. On SD there are loads of channels available and Sky Sports is fine most of the time. Sky might disappear with the launch of 2E but who knows? I think other providers are trying to cash in on the unknown. For the time being, Sky and Filmon covers everything. Like y...

Tend to agree Karpathoskate but you forgot the "luxury" tax we are going to have to pay on pools after having already paid several thousand on pool permits! At 16 euros a sq m, this takes up a sizeable proportion of people's pensions. Plus imputed income tax!

and there are bits that are already being repaired!!! Watch out for tight bends, camber going the wrong way and concrete culverts on the edge of the road/bends - 20 kmph max. Accidents waiting to happen! The Xirosterni Drapanos stretch appears to be quite safe but is already breaking up at the top. ...

http://cricfree.tv/live/index.php I just use this link. Ads have to be deleted but it doesn't take much effort by clicking on little crosses, plus close chat by clicking top right green dot. We have Sky Sp but when it's not good we watch on Cricfree or as yesterday, Liverpool match via Channel 1 (wh...

Don't need to register for cricfree and Sky isn't blocked plus ESPN and BT and other channels with Premier league matches and english commentary available. Picture isn't as good as TV and sometimes it stops and has to be reloaded but it's free! However, Sky, Sky Sports, BT and Eurosport reception vi...

Luxury tax

http://greece.greekreporter.com/2013/09 ... uxury-tax/

I understood from our accountant in May that the next swimming pool tax wasn't due until June 2014. Looks like they are trying to slip an "extra" one in? Anyway, really can't pay so won't be paying.
