Re: Cost of Living

....I have been trying to research the comparative Cost of Living particularly with the current Brexit blip/death spiral (choose one :? ) affecting Sterling. The exchange rate has been worse. Re: Golf clubs wanted

I assume you've researched the opportunities for golf here and discovered that there's only one course, near Hersonissos and isn't exactly cheap. The 9 hole course in Elounda is restricted to resort guests.

Re: Paying for Renovations

........... it was something like being able to draw out 30 % of money paid in from abroad in one go. Also I think this was increased when the possibility of drawing out €1,800 per month, rather than €840 every two weeks, was introduced a short time ago.............. Within two weeks (about two wee...

Re: english speaking cardiologist

I posted a recommendation here - http://www.livingincrete.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=8527 - about three years ago re: my consultation with an excellent cardiologist. What I didn't mention in that post was his fluent English.

Re:

The Vodaphone rep in Kalives used to be on the right side of the road to Armenoi, in a toy/ knicknack shop. The Germanos shop on the same road further out on the left does Cosmote. A UK phone is, of course, expensive. For international calls, get Skype, and either Skype direct or buy a Skype credit...

You're making an assumption as the comment wasn't specific but, if the cap fits and all that ......

Re: private messages

When you send a PM it goes to the 'Outbox' where it stays until the recipient downloads it to their computer. At that point the original appears in your 'Sent' box. You can see definitely that your message has not been read if it remains in the 'Outbox' You can see definitely that your message has b...

Re: Meet the Britsh Ambassador, Chania

I agree, @alansmithnl, - especially what she has to say about the potential effect of Brexit on our lives here. She won't be able to say anything meaningful. Brexit negotiations haven't even started in any real sense and what happens will depend on the outcome of said negotiations. The talks are al...
