Re: Medical Insurance

Until you are in receipt of your UK State Pension you won't be able to get treatment under the Greek State scheme (IKA as most people still refer to it). You might get some cover if you have EHIC cards but technically that is intended to provide for emergency cover for people on short stays although...

Vinyl to Digital

At last I've completed converting my old vinyl record and tape collection to digital which means I no longer need my faithful old Numark%20EZ USB turntable deck so it's on offer. It's in full working order with necessary cables, upgraded playing head/stylus and original documentation. Latest softwar...

Re: Temporary Brexit Forum

...It is entirely conceivable that the hotheads in the UK will eventually persuade the powers that be that NHS spending can be reduced by scrapping reimbursement of medical costs incurred by pensioner expats living in Europe.... I can't trace the article where I read this a few months ago but it wa...

Re: More Questions from the newbies

You could try Stavros, who posts on here, for insurance quotes. I use ERGO, formerly ATE, who are underwritten by Munich Re so they should be reliable. We also use ERGO as advised by Stephanos Katsifarakis who has given us excellent advice and service for both home and car insurance. (28210 86300 |...

My guess is that Eleni strips off a length of cucumber peel and runs round trying to swat the roaches with it.

Re: Mosquitos

Re: Pireaus Bank

Does anyone have any more information? Couldn't use Pireaus debit card in Inka this morning and when I presented my card at two cash machines, one Pireaus and one a different bank, was told that Pireaus are experiencing technical difficulties. That's one of the reasons I use cash wherever possible:...

Re: How to become a greek resident

So do we literally go into our nearest Police Station and ask for a residence certificate? Not quite. First, visit your nearest police station and find out exactly what documents they want you to produce, how many Passport type photos, which papers need to be photocopied in what numbers and fill ou...
