Are you sure you don't mean Methuselah Filippos  Ken. Absolutely sure, Ken. Had I meant Methusalah I'd have said so. Methuselah allegedly lived for 969 years but didn't necessarily pre-date Moses. I did suggest to you a few days ago that you shouldn't put your own interpretation on my posts as...

Good point, which I'd forgotten, Jean. Blobby, you must have a tax number as it would be needed for the property purchase. A return will be needed even if it's only a "Nil". I'd act promptly because there are deadlines (set according to your tax number) for submitting the return and you'll be fined ...

I was in two minds as to whether or not to submit my first post bearing in mind how "search savvy" you are. I did see the link to your site up at the top.

In the end I posted because I thought, "What the hell, he might have missed it."

I not 100% sure but the answer is probably "yes". The tax man is going to want proof of the source of the money - i.e. pink slip - with which the deposit was paid. Safest to ask an accountant. If you want an intro to ours (in Xania) let me know. We think he's excellent and others have said good thin...

Hi Jean,

I just Googled Cape Spatha Crete and it came up with 10 page references (and offered a further search to include similar pages) most of which concerned the Battle of Crete, the German invasion and one about the Polish navy. I didn't read any detail but it may be worth a look.

Hi Mary, This will probably sound sarcastic but isn't intended to be. I think your best bet is whatever you think they'll like. I don't think Greek/Cretan people are so different from anyone else in that the thought will be appreciated more than the actual gift. I don't suppose that's much help. Fil...

First time I've visited the KEP web site although I been to their offices in Vamos and Kalyves. I struggled a bit until I spotted the little Union Jack at the top of the page. Perhaps I need a big print version or new glasses. Once I stopped struggling with the Greek home page (and dictionary) and g...

Please, don't put your own interpretation on my words which I try to use precisely. As stated, I'm trying to persuade him to name names.

Be a devil, John (or a bigger one than usual) - name names.

Kalimera, BB (and everyone else).

Ishall05, after a night and day of steady rain it's been two reasonable days -warm, bit of cloud and this a.m. it's about 31C in the sun. Summer is nearly here.

It's just that John likes to stir up a bit of controversy. What me? Never! I am just misunderstood! What, John? You? Misunderstood? Not by most of us. ... ... and, so that I was not seen to be contradicting Filippos, And just when did not contradicting start? Would I ever post anything detrimental ...
