Re: BOTANICAL HELP PLEASE

If it's really tiny and low-lying, it's a scarlet pimpernel. ...........a blue scarlet pimpernel, if that isn't a contradiction in terms: the most gorgeous cobalt blue. Thank you Clio. My knowledge of plant life just about extends to "Grass is (usually) green". I've now looked up Scarlet ...

HI-FI SPEAKER STANDS (PAIR) FOR SALE

23/04/2020 - UNDER OFFER I have a pair of speaker stands looking for a good home. After 18 years we've decided I don't have room for them even though they're not very tall and have a modest footprint. http://www.creteforyou.com/otherstuff/speaker_stand-20200202.jpg DIMENSIONS Base: (slight taper) F...

BOTANICAL HELP PLEASE

Can anyone help me to identify this little beauty, please? http://www.creteforyou.com/otherstuff/Orange_flower_20200412-7757.jpg and I mean TINY . In the picture below, to help judge the scale, the buttons on the car key are about 8mm x 12mm so I reckon the flower nearest the key is only 7mm to 9mm ...

Re: FULL Lockdown Monday 23 March 6a.m. in Greece

Anybody know if its ok to book a car service, haven't seen it anywhere thanks We had our car serviced on 20th March at the Suzuki dealer in Xania. They had to get spares and then phoned me on 17th, "We have all the parts; can you come on Friday." The boss told me authorisation #2 basic sho...

Re: EOPYY Prescriptions

At our practice the stand-in receptionist who covered the regular woman's maternity leave is now working at one of the Kalyves pharmacies. Both are/were able to issue prescriptions. The GP prescribed a change of medication for me but it turned out to be unavailable so the ex stand-in receptionist ph...

This brings a whole new meaning to silent but deadly https://www.independent.ng/coronavirus-can-spread-through-farts-report/  Just followed your link and had trouble controlling the laughter. Made 'Er Indoors laugh, too. However, just as I'd finished reading one of my security programs popped...

Re: Kalyves Post Office

Courier services seem to be very efficiently currently - well, DHL is. I ordered a couple of items from Amazon UK on 9th April, despatched by Amazon on 14th with an estimated deliver of 21st April. The package arrived at the front door mid afternoon today (16th) via Wroclaw (where it arrived at 16:5...

Re: EOPYY Prescriptions

A price variation is not surprising. These are private doctors so they can charge whatever they decide to charge. You are paying the doctor for carrying out the administrative task of filling in the prescription just as you would pay for an examination or some treatment. You are not paying EOPYY fo...

Bearing in mind that it's thought that being overweight or obese increases the likelihood of death perhaps there are more fat men than fat women.

Re: EOPYY Prescriptions

Yes, Warwick but "3sheets of paper and 6 items on said paper" could mean either two or six items on each of the three sheets of 'said paper'. Either way there's a discrepancy in cost. I pay €15 for three prescription (three items on each) and starfish's husband pays €20 - €1.66 (near enoug...

Re: Let's Talk About Beer …....

Greengibble now have two outlets, the original in Litsarda and a more recent one in Kalyves. I've been to the former once but not the latter. They clearly didn't design the aisle spacing for the man with the "slightly" fuller figure............ I haven't been to either but 'Er Indoors has...

starfish wrote:My husband goes to Dr Manos in Kalyves and pays ,,€20 for 3 months prescriptions. 3sheets of paper and 6 items on said paper.

Is that six items per prescription page or two per prescription making six in total?

Re: EOPYY Prescriptions

I have no proof but I'm pretty sure that our GP practice 'forgets' to charge some patients who are in a 'financially challenged' situation. I've certainly observed things that have strongly suggested that to be the case.
