Re: Kodi / Roku

Yes , I don't bother with any live TV stuff , if we feel like watching a movie or a news item I just download it to my laptop if it's a movie with dramatic special fx's( my younger brother works on sci-fi movies) I can connect the laptop with a bigger screen and put sound through the hi-fi... I thin...

Re: Illegal grazing of Goats in olive trees.Advice please.

Hate to say this, but you will almost certainly need a building permit to fence in...... It may depend exactly how it's done. But as Carolina says, it will solve the problem. Andrew Will it ? How will a fence stop people grazing their goats illegally on other people's land? Maybe it will ... But I ...

Re: Olive Fly (Dacus Oleae)

Oh, I've been making the bottle traps for a few years now and they do work , I don't paint the whole bottle yellow just the top half , so I can see the little black olive moths ... and it easy to see the thing has not dried out ....I use copper or bordeaux mixture for the olive knot and generally ad...

Re: Olive Fly (Dacus Oleae)

Yeah , we have olive moth I don't know if it's more than usual but we have it. Mild dry winters and hot dry summers , tend to make it worse I think ...from what I've read the olive moth over winters in the soil under the trees so maybe after the harvest I may rotivate around them and see if it helps...

Re: Illegal grazing of Goats in olive trees.Advice please.

Yes you're right, the goat poo sits there all through the winter ..then when I prune the grapes in the spring I run up and down the rows with the rotivator and the whole process starts up again ......magic ...Going back to the OP here folk tend to put the fences around live stock rather than around ...

Re: Illegal grazing of Goats in olive trees.Advice please.

It's a point of view. But am I not right in thinking the owner of a plot of land is required by law to fence it, on pain of seizure of the land by the state if not fenced? Andrew[/quote] I've not heard that , plots of land around here are marked by stones . Just now the grapes have all been picked a...
