Yeah. I had a new locked cheap Nokia given to me my a friend in the UK ...I asked in the local phone shops and got blank looks ...so I went on line for the unlocking method ..to get the phone unlocked cost 10 quid almost what the phone was worth ... I never use expensive phones just 'burners' there ...

I think that most folk do that anyway , Having a UK bank account to have your pension paid into and only moving what you need to pay bills into your greek bank account would be my preferred option....If the UK leave the EU ,having a state pension paid into a UK bank might mean the pension does not g...

I always (and all my friends around here) treat the olive harvest and olive tree pruning as two separate jobs ....I think its better to get the olives in and to the factory asap ...then when it's all done and dusted ....the nets go out in the field to get a wash in the winter rain (some hope) chains...

Sounds like a good plan , I've tried on a small scale making faggots out of prunings an they work very well put a couple in the wood stove in the morning while the tea is brewing and bingo instant heat .. I have also tried pyrini compressed into blocks for the stove but they were very labour intensi...

Yes ,it's not the rain it's the humidity ...sultanas are very ( and wine grapes to a lesser extent) prone to mould in humid conditions ...just now it is hot and dry perfect conditions the fruits have formed and the bunches are dense the gaps between the fruits are closing ..so if you have many strem...

We had a reservoir built this end of the Island a few years ago just a bit to east of Sitia ,on the left of the road as you pass Piskokefalo. before you get to Maronia .as far as I can tell it's never had any water in it... Hi jack thread alert ...sorry Clio..

Just to finish off.....Today got a call from the ladies in the Souda road office, the licences, mine and my wifes are ready , simply come in and exchange UK licence for the Greeks ones. Took just over 2 weeks so must be improving the service. That's all folks.... So you kept hold of your UK licence...
