Re: New measures announced

Cafes? How can you wear masks in cafes? Does that mean queuing in coffee shops perhaps, like in the uk? Cant exactly have a meal with one on!

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Back to topic then, are we any clearer with the PLF forms? When we came out in July they were telling people at the airport that everyone including kids had to have one filled out but apparently it is officially one per household. I still hear horror stories in the press that airlines in the uk are ...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

We did last month. It was horrible wearing a mask for that long but they really were careful at the airport and on the flight. Shops were obeying the usual rules. On the flight you werent allowed to wait in the aisle to go to the loo and there were sanitisers everywhere. No magazines. Staff all had ...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Exactly Guy. Everyone wants to to blame someone else, thd goverments, the tourists, and now young people, and it really is really people not following the social distancing. I feel sorry for young people that have had to go through this and all i said was that they are the ones who have to come out ...

Thanks, i am trying not to be upset about it and i am ignoring it. I have no idea how to get it removed or her banned. I dont think the admini...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

They seem quite good with that where i am in the UK. In Wales you dont have to wear a mask and people in waitrose obey the 2metre rule quite well. In England people wear masks but arent too bothered about the distancing in some supermarkets. False srnse of securoty maybe. They are both strict on numb...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Thanks for your support Misos. I did notice another rude comment from Mike saying 'try engaging your brain etc", not so offensive as Ros but still. It is just an opinion and i was not endorsing young party goers meeting up without social distancing if he had read it properly. The waiter scenari...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Yes, the uk have done particularly badly and i supose we needed a lockdown earlier to get it under control before so many died. Sweden had no lockdown and it seemed to be working but i imagine they got slack and now there are more cases. When its all over we can analyse the different approches and o...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Yes, i agree with that. But if you cant trust antiibodies after having it, then vaccines arent going to work are they? We know a lot more now and there are treatments, one of which is to give plasma containing antibodies to patients. No deaths are 'acceptable' but some are inevitable. In theory then...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Ps. There is a new study out today in fact from Oxford uni stating that herd immunity may be enough in the UK to prevent a second wave. Only an opinion, Warwick, not sure anyone has the answer.

Re: Flying Crete - UK

The government is being accused by Corbyn at the moment for believing in herd immunity. They allowed a lot of events to go ahead before lockdown which we know now was wrong. I thought herd immunity meant the virus was allowed to spread deliberately so that a lot of people would then be immune becaus...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Thankyou for that Kamisiana. That post has upset me and was really nasty. I am not being condescending. My elderly father is vulnerable and isolating still and i have not been able to see him. I havd not cuddled my son in 4 months and i have obeyed the social distancing rules diligently. I have a fr...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Thankyou for calling me a bitch. This is a polite forum is it? I wasnt being condescending at all, i was stating that it is a wise desicion to stay at home if older and vulnerable like some of my family are doing right now and i am unable to see them. I do not know how to report you but you shouldnt...
