PM Hassles

I have some private messages waiting for me but I can't read them, apparently because my Inbox folder is overflowing. Obviously all I need to do is delete some old messages, but can I manage that? In Settings I highlight the option to delete old messages when a folder is full. Nothing happens. I cal...

Re: New residency rules post Brexit - reciprocity in Greece

Believe it or not, there are far bigger issues over Brexit than the rights of those living abroad I couldn't agree more. The latter issue, however, is the only one germane to a debate on a forum dedicated to foreigners living in Greece and largely used by Britons. Which is why I posted that link an...

Re: A Heads Up About Car/Bike Insurance

Further to the original post: I suddenly realised at the weekend that I hadn't paid my car insurance, due at the end of May. (It didn't help that the insurance company don't send demands and the broker had failed to make his usual reminder phone call). No problem I thought: it's only a couple of wee...

Re: A Little Night Music

Well, my bathroom window is only a few kilometres from Preveli, as crow & co fly, so I am encouraged by Warwick's link to believe that the bird is indeed the nightingale remembered from a Suffolk garden.

A Little Night Music

I’m not particularly interested in birds, and usually the only ones which register with me are the eagles from the ravine up the road, which are breathtaking, the martins pooing on my skala which are a blasted nuisance, and the skops owl which is unmistakeable. But the last couple of nights, going i...

Re: Oh To Be In...Somewhere WARM

Two of you, eh? There's obviously something about walking around Chania which causes British gents of a certain age to suffer from hot flushes. Hope you're taking the tablets.....

Re: Oh To Be In...Somewhere WARM

I was walking round Chania this afternoon in a very lightweight coat and I was much too hot

Far be it from me to murmur something about some people having better insulation than others...

Oh To Be In...Somewhere WARM

http://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2017/04/21/weather-forecast-rain-strong-winds-snow-april2017/ Tomorrow's forecast for our parish is nine degrees and raining. (Anyone telling me it's balmy as always in Kalives is welcome to come and feel my frozen fingers around their NECK.) Yours eking out the heat...
