Re: Speed Cameras Revisited

And be VERY cautious around these cameras, I had a conversation with a Greek chap a week ago who got caught twice on the same day by these cameras, there is a 20km "allowance" so he got caught doing 82km in a 60km zone, he was flashed by the cameras and had the fine within 1 week, as he go...

Re: Money Corp vs HiFX

Used Transferwise a couple of months ago https://transferwise.com/r/3ec05 and all I can say is that it was very easy, got the rate I wanted and the money was in my Greek bank account within 2 days, much quicker than the currency exchange houses I have used in the past and saved me at least £17.50 pl...

I would think that the most concerning area for expats living within the EU would be the health agreement, even currently getting IKA in Greece at the moment, this would surely be no longer. The latest poles from yesterday put 43% of people who would vote to leave the EU against 37% who would vote t...

Thanks for replies, think I have got what the extra is for, the swimming pool, this of course was not on the electric bill but it is on this, plus a small amount for the land of course, still an absolute fraction of what I pay in the UK!

Agreed, there are plenty of places with better quality than Ikea but the poster asked with an online catalogue, they of course do have. There is a pretty good shop called Stock Bazar on the Omolos road exit from the National Road. Take the exit, turn right at bottom of slip road towards Chania, abou...

A WORD OF WARNING WITH 1and1. I had a domain registered with this company for about 3 years and then decided I didn't want it anymore & cancelled it only then to get demands for another 2 years payment for a service I didn't have or require. Then this was passed on to a dodgy debt recovery agenc...
