Re: Mask or no mask

Got my answer just now. So far masks outside were not compulsory in green zones. But that's likely to change very soon. "Μάσκες μέσα και έξω σε όλη την Ελλάδα Ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης αναμένεται να ανακοινώσει το μέτρο της υποχρεωτικής χρήσης μάσκας τόσο σε εσωτερικούς όσο και σε εξωτερικούς χώρου...

Re: Lunchitme trembler....

West of Chania and I felt it quite strongly. It was very different from most of the earthquakes we get here: more a gentle side to side rocking. No sound at all. I thought that it was coming from far and that it must have been something strong and my earthquake app confirmed it a couple of minutes l...

Re: Mask or no mask

Margarita, I had reead this but on the other hand here is a quote by Nikos Hardalias in today's Xaniotkia Nea ( https://www.haniotika-nea.gr/ti-allazei-apo-simera-stis-quot-kokkines-quot-perioches/ ) "Τα δύο νέα μέτρα που ανακοίνωσε ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης για την πανδημία του κορωνο...

In the linked article it mentions "According to newspaper ethnos, the mandatory use of masks in-and outdoors is for Categories 3 and 4."
The whole thing is clear as mud

Re: Mask or no mask

As from 06:00 Saturday it is mandatory to wear a mask at all times in all public areas, indoors and outdoors, in all areas of the country. Are you sure? From what I had read yesterday I understood that it only applied to areas 3 and 4. Been out all day today so I haven't been following the latest n...

Re: Level 1 for Chania. Level 3 Herakleion New guidelines

So when they write (for the level 1 area) Σε όλους τους εξωτερικούς χώρους με συγχρωτισμό do they mean crowded places or what exactly? What I want to know is can I now walk in Chania without a mask (and without risking a fine for doing so)?

Re: UK car to Crete Import cost?

Even if you can import the car cheaply an E320 would be ludicrously expensive to run in terms of road tax and luxury tax (if resident in Greece). Don't do it.

Re: WHAT IS THE FUTURE FOR CRETE POST CONVID-19

Convid-19 has devastated the Greek economy, but in particular Crete.

Actually, I think that Crete is doing way better than many many parts of Greece.

Re: Cap on university places for medical students

Foreign students pay a full market rate fee

I don't think that EU students pay more than UK students. It's expensive enough anyway compared to many other EU countries where universities are essentially free.

As far as I can see you can pay an already generated e-Paravolo using the payment code on the form using online banking

Just checked with my NBG account and you can pay e-paravolo online

Re: E-paravolo - how to pay?

I honestly don't know what could be easier than walking up to a counter, handing the person behind the counter a piece of paper and some cash and getting the paper, duly receipted, handed back. It's like buying a tube of Smarties in a mini-market. That's what I remember. But I doubted my memory of ...

Re: E-paravolo - how to pay?
