Alternatively, try it and if gives you problems uninstall it. You can use Programs and Features in Control Panel to remove SP1 and restore your computer to its previous state. To uninstall SP1: 1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Programs. 3. Under Programs and Features, click Vie...

It would be different if your site was advertising something self-serving but it is in fact a "library" of information and personal observations which offers insight to all those who wish to learn more about Crete. I'll stick by what I've said in my OP - after all it's all a matter of opi...

Actually, Jean, like you I update my site often, but I don't tend to post on forums. We both have the roughly the same number of posts on this site. I would not call 131 posts (admittedly in over a year) NOT posting. As for what you or I define as spamming, lets not go into that but spamming is pro...

It's a nice clip Ray and very famous but there is something bugging me: do you think that it is OK to post on several forums (I just noticed that your post is on interkriti and explorecrete) every time you update something on your site? I update my site on a regular basis (daily roughly) but would n...

Cavo Sidero appeal postponed

The hearing of an appeal lodged against the Greek government regarding environmental approval for the Cavo Sidero project has been postponed by the court until May 9, 2008.

I don't know what were the reasons for the postponement.

I agree with Ray that this is way off subject. The OP was writing about Cavo Sidero.

And back to Cavo Sidero, the hearing of the appeal lodged against the Greek government regarding the environmental approval of the project has been postponed by the court until May 9, 2008.

Hi Roy, First thing that comes to mind: how is your Greek? You'll probably need it in a job like this, at least basic Greek. Also do you realize that rates of pay are very much lower than in Britain? Half of your monthly pay will probably go on the rent of your 3 bedroomed house with pool and that's...

The rainfall for 2007 recorded by Crete Polytechnic, near Chania, was 401 mm. That was a year with very low rainfall for the area. 600mm is more common. Remember that there are huge variations in Crete: from over 2000mm in the White Mountains to just over 200mm in the far East of the island. Becaus...

In most bars there is a sign that states 17 years and accompanied by an adult.

Sure! And I've seen lots of no smoking signs in cafes and restaurants! Honestly, do you really think that anyone would care to enforce it?

You have a very valid point Warwick and this is why I first posted here to try and find out if anyone knew the answer (beyond Wikipedia which all in all doesn't say that much). But I found out and even if it is not the exact translation it is the correct fuel to use if white gas is specified (this i...

The situation is especially sensitive in Crete, which faces chronic droughts Problem with such articles is the lack of accuracy. Crete suffers from chronic droughts? Only if you mean that it doesn't rain in the summer. But thanks for the article and good to see that Cavo Sidero is being discussed e...
