Re: The Gig economy - what's that?

On the subject of jokes, I heard a good one today:

A priest, a pastor and a rabbit walked in to blood donation clinic.

The nurse asked the rabbit: "What is your blood type?"

"I am probably a type O" said the rabbit.

Re: The Gig economy - what's that?

Oh dear. I meant it as a laugh but it has been taken seriously.

You asked "Has anyone any idea what the definition of "gig economy" is?" and the title of your post is "The Gig economy - what's that?"
Obviously I didn't see the joke in it. Still don't get the joke.

Re: Greek Driving Licence renewal

A friend has reported that when he went to KEP recently to renew his licence (due soon) he was told to return in 10 months' (yes, 10 months, I checked) time. Something to do with a possible EU directive but all still very obscure. Anyone else had this experience? Bob. In the middle of last year an ...

Re: Latest lockdown rules - clarification?

The Islands need to be off limits The islands have been off-limit since the 7th of November. You are not allowed to travel between prefectures unless you can prove that you are a returning resident (and it needs to be your main residence, i.e. it's where you pay your tax). There are exceptions but ...

Re: Postal deliveries to Kokkino Horio

UPS to Crete is always hopeless. Last week, 3 of us locally had UPS post delivered by taxi....to roughly where we live!! No probs with ACS. DHL normally great as well. UPS was quite good in my neck of the woods until they farmed out their deliveries in Chania region to Geniki Taxydromiki. Now of co...

Re: Postal addresses

When I had to call 112 recently they asked for coordinates of location

So obviously the implementation of the geolocation on the 112 number is not as it should be

Re: Medical Grade face masks

Those masks seem expensive. I've no idea whether post-Brexit import duties will make it impracticably pricey, but take a look at Amazon UK. I bought It will add a lot of costs. If you are using Amazon at all, best switch to a EU Amazon, for example amazon.de Though it's German you have the option t...

Re: lockdown ticket

If your exercise is walking then it is not essential to go to Omalos, If your exercise is mountaineering you go to the mountains. And the point was clearly made by a Greek minister in November that you can do this (mountaineering) within your municipality. Shortly after came the Mitsotakis cycling ...

Re: lockdown ticket

my son won his appeal. he does not have to pay his ticket. Good for him. Also good to see that appeals can be won on the basis of common sense. Talking about lack of common sense, have you seen the latest idiotic fine for lockdown regulations breach? https://www.zarpanews.gr/prostimo-parodia-apo-ti...
