Dentists - IKA

Postby alansmithnl » Fri Mar 16, 2018 4:24 pm

Are there many IKA Dentists around in the Apokoronas area?
There are very few NHS Dentists around in the UK and none over here in the Netherlands.
I'll be arriving on the 4th April sometime, but won't get the E1 forms for a few weeks after that date.
Just curious!

Most people I know simply use private dentists. Their charges are not high. The one nearest to me tends not to charge at all for a check up and he certainly doesn't push treatment, if anything the opposite. I know several people who come to Crete regularly and who wait to visit a dentist here rather than use one in the UK.

No. I meant wait but perhaps I phrased it badly. They wait until they come to Greece so that they can visit a dentist here rather than going to one in the UK.

Hi Warwick, could you please send me the details of your dentist? I am in general distrustful of dentists and only use them by recommendation. Since yours is not pushy with treatment, that's a good starting point.

Thanks !

So far as I know the only dentist in Vamos is Giorgos Papadogiorgakis. I went to him for treatment yesterday and asked if he provided treatment under IKA. He doesn't and, if I understood him correctly, he said the only way to get dental treatment through IKA is to start with IKA and be seen by a dentist on their panel.
