I have to consult a vein doctor, but it seems there isn't one in Rethymno. I see there are a couple in Chania, and would appreciate any personal recommendations.

I think a friend of mine has consulted one of these doctors in Hania. I have asked her for details and will pass them on.

If you put Angiologists into Yellow Pages you don't get any hits on Crete at all and only 32 in the whole of Greece. If you put in Vascular Surgeons you only get three in Chania so it looks like there is not a lot of choice. Yellow pages also lists one for Rethymnon and nine for Heraklion. I'm not sure if that helps?

You could try contacting Iasis clinic in Chania, explaining the problem and asking if they have a suitable specialist. If they don't have their own they usually have a private specialist they cooperate with and, based on my experience, they are usually very good.

Thanks, Warwick. Looks like one of the Chania docs has been doing one clinic per week in Rethymno, which if still the case would be very handy.
