36V lithium battery

Postby BST » Tue Apr 14, 2020 4:01 pm

I have a Black and Decker cordless strimmer but the battery appears to have gone. Tried next doors, same strimmer and battery and there were no probs. I can't order one from overseas and in any case the rate things are growing at the moment, I could do with one sooner rather than later! Any ideas how/where I could get one from in Greece, Crete even!! Thanks in advance.

Do you have a model number for the strimmer and if possible for the battery?

You could start here: https://www.batteries.gr/en/replacement ... ttery.html
If you don't find it in the page call them and talk to them. English should not be a problem.

Otherwise, model and battery number will help. If you can get it in Greece you'll probably find it through Skroutz. Here is a general search https://www.skroutz.gr/c/3140/mpataries ... ecker.html

I don't know where you live bt you could also look for retailers at https://www.blackanddecker.gr/el-gr/sup ... a-retailer

I did some searching for the most probably model numbers for the battery you require and I suspect it is not available in Greece. For example the first site Jean suggested has nothing higher than 24 V. I found a couple of possible model numbers from a UK site and put them into google.gr and it only came up with UK sources. While it is true that the small strimmers are available in Greece just as they are in the UK, I suspect anybody who wanted something bigger would buy a petrol model. I know I did.
