IPTV provider

Has anyone got any recommendations for IPTV providers that work on a mag254 am using Telly Connect Boomtv now but having problems with spech out of sync on some channels and some progs keep stopping and going back to the main menu,
it is not a buffering issue as Telly connect keep telling me as other channels work ok thanks.

Had savvytech for a month now not one problem last provider told me all the problems I was having was down to my internet provider ran the two back to back for two weeks same old probs with old provider, savvytech ran faultlessy perfect picture, catchup, and more tv than you can watch all for 25euros a month some say thats expensive? that's 82cents a day or two beer's out a week.
Also you get VOD with hundreds of films if that's your thing.

So, having followed this thread, I have contracted savvy tech and think they sound a good idea in respect of pay as you use TV for our holiday home/rental.

Can't quite decide whether the 256 or 322 Infomir mag box is best though - any views?

In addition to this, who are the best internet providers? I have spoken to Cosmote but wasn't sure about Wind? Is there much difference?

You'll have to excuse me as I am not very good with tech and struggle enough with the differences in the UK! Ha ha Therefore any tips would be appreciated. We're heading out again in the next month as furniture is being delivered so wanted to get the internet and TV set up at the same time.

I'm using a MAG256 having previously used a MAG254 and it is noticeably faster. Generally reliable although it does crash from time to time. I've no experience with the 322. Check that your chosen IPTV service does support it. Not all services support all boxes.

If it is possible I would put the router close to the TV and connect from the router to the MAG box with an Ethernet cable. I was using WiFi and kept getting pauses but with a hard wired connection it is almost faultless.

Cosmote own all the telephone infrastructure, i.e. like BT in the UK, so providers like Wind are piggybacking on Cosmote. Personally I prefer to go directly to the organ grinder rather than the monkey. I have no experience of Wind but for people without a telephone line I believe they do some good deals on routers that use mobile technology, i.e. G4. I am told by a friend that their "Q" PAYG package is good value for money.

Thanks - yeah savvytech suggested the 256 or 322 as most compatible but when I went to buy on Amazon there were varying reviews and people seemed to suggest the 322 had problems with overheating and crashing etc.

Also someone mentioned the 322 didn't have WiFi?

Oh ok so probably best sticking with Cosmote as we do have a phoneline.

There are different versions of each model. For example the MAG256 and MAG322 don't have built in WiFi but you can add a WiFI dongle. The MAG256w1 and Mag322w1 have built in WiFi so you don't need the dongle. I am using a MAG256w1 but I have it hard wired to the router with an Ethernet cable. Despite having very good WiFi speed and only 4 m between the router and the MAG box I kept getting freezing when I connected with WiFI. I thought it was the IPTV server causing the problem but since I have switched to hard wired I have almost zero problems.
