I fairly regularly text my daughter in the UK without a problem, using Vodafone. In fact it more often than not arrives with her immediately. Other than ensuring you have prefixed the number you are sending to correctly, I cannot think of anything to suggest. I hope that you can find resolution.

I don't have any problems but I have a dual SIM phone and I use the UK (Virgin) SIM when contacting a UK number.

Yes, mine is also a dual sim model, I will just have to use the giffgaff sim for the UK txts.

You may have a texts package that means there is no difference, but for those that don't, Vodafone's text charges to UK are higher than some UK networks, so it's always better to use the UK SIM, as I recently discovered. I think there was a price rise early this year sometime.

Hi Paul

As an experiment I sent an SMS to my son in the UK from my Greek Vodafone mobile. He never received it so it looks like there is a general problem.

I'm told by family in the UK that they have a problem with Vodafone network there. Trying to find out more. Is this the cause or just coincidence?

An update,

I have received a txt from Vodafone saying, there is a problem that requires technical work and that they cannot give an actual repair time.

Sounds promising.

Why don't they just say they don't know. Typical mobile service provider answer. Have you put your sim into another mobile and tried? I'm sure you have but thought I would mention it.
