I have always used "YouTube Downloader" but for some reason, it has stopped working.
Does anyone have a favourite program? I am still UIsing Windows 7

Clipconverter was slow with the first clip and reported "clips with music not available" and so is useless for me.

YouTube continually tries to block such Add-ons (frequently succeeding) so whichever you choose is likely to stop working eventually - sometimes forever and sometimes until the creator updates it.

I have a quandary - I use often the simple desktop publisher PagePlus that will not run under Windows 10. I am investigating leaving the laptop on 7 and converting desktop to 10 and also whether there is a PagePlus equivalent in 10.

If you have the inclination you can dual boot your laptop with Windows 7 and Windows 10 making limited use of 7 due to ongoing reduced availability of security patches.

Serif have stopped supporting PagePlus; DrawPlus;WebPlus and PhotoPlus, all of which I had been using for many years.They have replaced them with Affinity Publisher (for PagePlus & WebPlus) Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. If you want to keep using the old PagePxxx programs they are available as legacy versions (unsupported) or you should be able to install from your original discs or download versions.

Affinity Publisher has quite a short and easy learning curve as it works very much like the old PagePlus and is much more flexible and a vast improvement on the old program. There are Mac (even an iPad version) and PC versions of all three new programs and all have received high praise from the technical press and many awards even from Apple who judged them the best new programs of their type in successive years.

The cost is only €55 and it provides lots of short 'training' videos plus there's a mass of stuff on YouTube (both Serif's own channel and many independent ones. I've only looked at one review (not a tutorial) provided in English by a fast-talking Austrian that you have to be quick to follow but there are many others. Just put Affinity Publisher into Google (and/or tack 'review' or 'tutorials' on the end.

P.S. In case anyone asks, I don't make anything out of Serif but I am a fan.
