php bot

Having just reviewed notes I had made (before blacklisting and deleting!) of the origins of recent phishing emails from banks I am not a customer of, I noticed that some were from the above i.e. the above (with no gaps) followed by AT my site 4 now (with no gaps).

This is the only php board I frequent so I was a-wondering if those 'nasty people' out there have a means of harvesting, or whatever it is they do, data via such boards?

I may be way off beam here but felt it worth a mention.

Jean, sorry I have no idea except to say this was the 'originating' address of a phishing email so I guess using an address like this is all part of the 'spoof'!??
Possibly a temporary URL ????

Edit:
Doh ! Just re-read your question, the address was phpbot AT mysite4now dot com

I still don't quite see how this relates to the Livingincrete forum.

php is a programming language...

"PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML. "

this BB was written in php

the php bot was written in php

but the php bot is a tool for use on IRC (chat) nothing to do with any bulletin board

so what have you been getting on to in IRC?

errum, the ONLY chat I've been getting on to in IRC is Skype (with 'shared details' contacts only).

well whats known in general as the php bot is an irc tool but really you have only got that name on a website so quite likely it is not the php bot proper, it could well be that that particular website has some nasty logic written in php within the html code.

( see I've got you out of it now so theres no need for anyone to know about that IRC page on nude bungy jumping )

That puzzled me for a while, Jean. By "the above" I think M means the thread title, i.e. php bot (without the gap) @ etc.

Filippos.
