The EU harmonised the voltage across Europe in 1995. Prior to 1995 UK voltage was 240 V +6 % / -6 % which equates to 225.6 - 254.4 V On 1 January 1995 the whole EU became 230 V +10 % / -6 % which equates to 216.2 - 253.0 V but the actual voltage remained at 240 V in the UK since it was still within the allowed range. I would guess that for a short time after 1995 there would still be electrical products on the market that were rated at 240 V but the advantage to manufacturers of producing a single product that can be sold anywhere in the EU would mean that 240 V rating would disappear quite quickly. I can't give you an exact date but every electrical product has to carry a rating plate by law so it is easy to check. Certainly I would expect a product sold in 2005 be rated at 230 V, Clio.
The Kenwood was my late wife's, TweetTweet. I do cook but I rarely use a mixer or a food processor, which I also have. I do use the blender on the food processor to liquidise soups.
