New inmate at sanctuary

It has been a very tough winter at the sanctuary, as most inmates are getting old and more fragile. And while we will always remember them it is great to welcome new arrivals. The latest, Orophelia is a new experience for us. She is a traditional Cretan Pony, which means that instead of the normal gait, they ‘pace’ while running instead of the traditional gallop.

Many Scots will recognize this as it is of feature of our trotting ponies.

Needless to say as almost the smallest inmate, she has been befriended by the largest horse we have.

Anyone is welcome to visit, if you can just call first, 697 6088547, we are located just outside Anatoli on the road down towards Ierapetra.

Inevitably we also have our share of abandoned dogs and cats.

Best regards

Alistair

Thanks for posting Alistair .. So glad you are still doing the wonderful work you do ...I have my two nearly 4 year old grandsons coming over from the UK this summer ...If I can tempt them away from the beach I would love to bring them to see you and your inmates ...
