Planning permission for window replacement?

Postby amaerl » Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:26 pm

Does anyone know whether I would need planning permission to replace my existing kitchen window with a larger one? If so, how do I obtain this?

Thanks for your help!

If I were you I would inquire at my local Dimos office.

Thank you. I have discovered that it is a requirement. If I go ahead and do it without permission I will be fined when it comes to selling my house. I dont think any govt. Offices are open at the moment this is a job for the New year!

Correct me if I am wrong but houses can have a small difference on the approved drawings/build plan.
I thought 5%. We had a extra window not in the build plans but it was within the 5% difference, so it was legal to sell.

Edit, i now think it might be 2%, other people can answer it with more certainty.
