I am astonished at the speed of the response. I have attended weddings, baptisms and other social gatherings all over Greece. At a wedding reception in northern Greece all it takes is about 3 notes on a Pontiak fiddle and everybody attending is up and dancing. At every event I have attended in Crete the guests have totally ignored the musicians for at least 2 hours before they have deigned to get up and dance. Very strange?

Just another pointer to the fact that the Cretans are not Greek!! Love it. Bob.
