Stuart I've moved your post to Cretan Adventures No problem with it and I see why you posted it here but given it's nature/style it's better in that section.

Just now in Crete the bunches of fresh Origan have dried sufficiently to strip them from their stalks and be made ready for crushing into powder.

The house and my hands smell of this herb used so much in Greek cooking.

Shame its raining and a thunderstorm just now in Crete. (Well Chania area)

not everyones cup of tea but just now in crete I have been watching the European Space Staion pass over Chania most evenings. It is very easy to see and travels as fast as a shooting star but has a lot more clarity. details of viewing times are on www.heavens-above.com/esa. You then follow the links and put the area you are living in and it will tell you what time to start star gazing. (this week is between 2130 and 2200) A while ago they sent a shuttle up to the space station and you could see both craft orbiting a short distance apart.

I think you mean the International Space Station? The European module has been shipped to NASA but is not due for launch until next year.
