Pallets/Wood other materials needed to keep Dog shelter open

Postby Avyi » Sat Aug 01, 2020 2:10 pm

Hi all

Very few people have answered to help but I'm sure that there must be some of you who have bits of wood/decking/Pallets laying about, even screws/nails/electrical cables/plumbing materials/tarpaulins etc

The Gov are waging a war against animal shelters and we are desperately trying to adhere to all of the strict rules that have been applied.
Building more kennels, platforms for the kennels, tarpaulins for shade, re-plumbing, installing electricity (they'd previously said this wasnt permitted).

The Greeks would rather dogs and cats be stray and sick on the streets than cared for, vaccinated, re-homed in shelters by people who love them. Its doesn't make any sense.

We have had some lovely volunteers lately from France, China, Germany, Holland.
Please help if you can.

Bronx Familia Animal Shelter, Near Gouves, Kokini Hani

Thank you
Dawn

Dawn .. Check out your local Thermocheepio (greenhouse) owners .... when one needs replacing due to wind damage, it quicker to just bulldozer the wood and plastic into a heap and burn it . then rebuild with new timber ..a few years ago I helped a local guy who wanted some materials for a project so before the owner burnt it we got two massive truck loads of 3x2 , 2x2 and some 4x3 's all in good long lengths in half a days work ...it was a bit naily (is that even a word)...but still useful stuff ...
