Some companies in the US claim the item is a gift , in order to avoid customs duty..

4 T-shirts in the package, look at invoice, see price is probably more than you would pay most places (they are VERY good quality) not rocket science.
Had stuff from them before which got checked at customs - no problem.

Hi.

Has anybody heard any up to date information with regard to our postman no longer covering the villages of Drapanos, Kokkino Xorio, Kefalas Vamos, etc.?
We understood he was due to finish at the end of March but he was granted continual work to the end of April and from then on we would have to go all the way to Vrysses to collect our post. It is the elderly Greek pensioners who will suffer most under this stupid ruling.

Many thanks for any info.

Haven't heard anything yet but will post info on here asap unless someone else gets in first. Not so much a stupid ruling though: ELTA are just not offering enough to tempt anyone to take the job of postman. Bob.

The last bloke operated a franchise and had to pay megabucks up-front to ELTA to run it. Then when he decided to quit, ELTA were dragging their heels on a refund. Don't know all the details, but so far no-one who has looked at the job (lot of village travelling, paying out pensions monthly etc) has wanted to get involved. Bob.

As far as I can tell, Kostas will be delivering mail to the Vamos area villages until the end of May. This seems to be the norm now - wait until the end of the month and then continue again for another month. Bob.
