A friend of mine who is a professional sailor uses this in order to find info on world wind .....

It's more local, but TOTALLY different to your one :-)
Edit - looking at my weather centre wind direction indicator, it's pretty accurate at the moment.

The east is windy mainly July and early August. It is THE place to go to windsurf because if this. As previously stated, it's down to the Meltemi which pretty much missed places to the west of Sitia ie most of Crete. The winds at places like Paleokastro and Kouromenos are mental much of the time in early summer!
