I don`t know if you had the thunder lightning and torrential rain where you live Jeff but we had in the Kolimbari area but it was continuous for at least 14 hours or more affecting the roads locally, the lane at back of our house was turned into a raging river, drain covers were blown off making driving dangerous maybe your area was not affected, if so you were lucky...

Gosh , sadly we only had we had 2 and a bit hours of rain here at dawn, we need more. All the wells in our village are very low and the village spring that has run for as long as local people can remember has been dry for more than a year ....

Some would say you are lucky, last time this happened here about 3 years ago we lost the end of our cul-de-sac road and one-third of our 2000sqr mtr plot, 5 olive trees etc, into the valley below some 40 feet down so the rainy season is not one of our best-loved weather cycles Jeff...

Sadly we just don't get a rainy season any more ...growing stuff is getting harder and harder ...

I've got a pump and a 1000 ltr tank that fits on the back of the truck I could come and get some water ... or maybe we should hire a tanker ...
