Voting in Greece -EU & local Elections

EU and local elections take place on Sunday 26th May 2019 in Greece.

Polling stations are set up in local schools.

EU citizens living in Greece and already registered to vote in Greece can check their Greek voting details here:-

It does look like the registration lasts a long time. I registered to vote in the municipal elections in 2010 and I am still showing as registered.

Thanks for that Carolina ,I feel I should vote here now I can't vote in the UK ..so where do I start the process of getting registered ?

Yes, I registered around 1999 at the local koinotita, which then moved to a local dimos, which then became part of the larger Chania dimos and I am still on the list.

The cut off date to register to vote for these elections has passed Jeff, but as an EU citizen with a registration certificate you can register anytime to vote - just go to your local Dimos.

When (if) Brexit happens we won't be able to vote in EU elections but anyone with the permanent residence permit (any new one we may require after Brexit) should be able to vote in local elections in future.
