And to clarify - this is only the last 2-3 days. Before that it was "socialising" like bbq's every 2nd day by 2-6-8 people.

Well, if you call 112 someone will speak English and they should also know your exact location (because that's the way this emergency phone number works). Tell them your problem.
I personally would not do it but I probably have lived here a lot longer than you and intend to spend the rest of my life here so we may not have the same priorities.

Jean, are you suggesting that civil code and quarantine breaches should be tolerated?
The movement/transmission risk I already explained; the other one is to do with their DIY and hours (eg right now it's siesta but they are going full steam ahead).
This is aside our rental agreement which is based on the idea that we rent this house while this shed is not used by the family except for occasional bbq visits. Right now I registered drilling into one of the walls of our house, and banging on what appears to be the rooftop (comes from ceiling upper floor)

I am not suggesting anything. Don't drag me into an argument that I am not part of.
You are dead set on reporting people, don't speak the language so I am telling you how you could do it. This is the last I'll say on all this.

I must confess that with increasing age I don't spot games of "Yes But" as quickly as I used to, so I sometimes get drawn in, but I still refuse to play them once I do catch on.

Jean,
if my question sounded a bit too harsh in tone - then please accept my apologies.

However the point of asking (or proving more info's) is not to argue but to establish what is a sound context for actions in response. Why else would I post here?

I have lived in Greece & Crete a number of years, and prior to that have learned about the mentality a while as well. So if it were within the norms of "usual stuff" I would not bother. In my current experience, I witness what is clearly out of bounds and posing risk / limitations to everyone involved. So my ultimate goal is to stop this.

Quite a few other countries have implemented a reporting system, where citizens who suspect a breach of quarantine regulations, can submit photo evidence + simple details, and be done with it. If it were the case here, I would just to that & rest my case!

Warwick,
thanks for your seasoned PoV anyway!

To paraphrase The Firm, it's a word, Bob, but not as we know it.

UPDATE for anyone else who might have a similar situation
- I received clarification by Greek Police HQ on what is legal and what is not:

Reporting of suspected breach of quarantine regulations - to "contact the General Secretariat of Civil Protection, through the respective site on the internet." How I understand it works is that they collect the complaint/information, then the police acts on it.

Re CAR DRIVES - "It is only allowed to drive on a permanent residence, without return" (this is about a place being the address registered on e1 form) and "only for specific reasons" (category B permit)
+ " if you suspect that there are people who drive from regions in which are registered deaths by coronavirus [eg Rethymno town], you do call the police so as those people be controlled. We would like to inform you that the law doesn’t allow these people to move free"

Re GATHERINGS -"It is not allowed for people to gather in groups, UNLESS they are members of a family AND live all together, AND doing this into their house."

Re OUTDOORS activities - "only allowed for to go out for physical exercise or with their pets, on a daily basis, " individually or per two persons, keeping the distance of 1.5 meters from each other."

+ BTW, NOISE during "summer (01/04 – 30/09) 15.00 – 17. 30 and 23.00 – 07.00, winter (1/10 – 31/03) 15.30 – 17.30 and 22.00 – 07.30)" is enough reason to call the police apparently

So IDm can you update us on your situation?

Your messages were pretty garbled .. first we all thought they were drug dealers, then we thought they were just travelling miles across the island for daily parties and then it seemed they were workers. Τι έγινε; ?

Somebody should remember that, allegedly, there are 2½ guns per person in Crete. Margarita and I want to know who has our five. I have known several Cretans who routinely carry one of their weapons. How many folk on here remember 'Hoppy' Milne the developer?
