We spend a few days there every year. Sometimes there is a French yacht moored up in the bay, so I assume they are regular visitors at a similar time of year to us. It is a very special place.
We know a German chap who spends two months a year on Kriti. He is a walker, so visits for a month in the Springtime and another one in the Autumn, - when the temperatures are better for walking. Each visit he has two weeks in Kato Zakros, and another two on the south coast of Rethymno. He has been doing the same holidays for years and still loves both places. He has noticed marginally more tourism over recent years, especially in Kato Zakros, particularly now the coaches visit there to pick up the walkers from gorge and also visitors to the archaeological site. Most of the time though it is still a mini paradise!
Shhhhh!
Have a nice day tomorrow Guy.
