THANKS FOR YOUR HELP LAST TIME,BUT I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION FOR YOU.
WE HAVE BEEN TALKING TO A COMPANY CALLED CHANIA HOMES,DOSE ANYBODY HAVE ANY INFO ON THEM AS WE LIKE WHAT THEY BUILD AND THE PRICES SEEM GOOD.
NEED AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE.

Its going to be difficult to get reliable answers. Take 5 options

Someone knows them and thinks they are ok. They may answer but there again they don't want to feel responsible if you follow that route and it goes wrong. So they say nothing.

Someone has never heard of them. So they say nothing.

Someone thinks they are terrible but doesn't want to get any repercussions. So they say nothing.

Someone has an overall policy of not giving opinions about other businesses. So they say nothing.

If someone is bubbling over with how good this company is then surely the company would give them on a list of satisfied customers so you have that anyway

I mean ask here by all means but don't be suprised if there are very few replies.

I don't know anything about them and there are no comments on Crete Property Uncovered. They look to me like an estate agency rather than a developer. That probably means that a lot of the properties are on the books of other agencies. That is normal in Greece. If you see a property you like you could:

a) Try to find out who the builder really is and what is known about them.
b) See if the same house is on somebody else’s books at a better price.

Best bet is to go and meet them in person and then have a look at other work they have done ideally one with people living in it so you can get their view. Other option is to talk to your lawyer and get them to do a search if any outstanding problems these should be logged with appropriate authority.

Reading the following on the main page of their web site makes me think that you should take what they say with a big pinch of salt:

Property value on Crete are currently growing at a rate of 20%-25% annually.
Crete's cost of living is one of the lowest in Europe but the quality of life is the highest.
Basics such as food, property, cars, petrol, clothes etc are a fraction of the cost of Northern European prices.
All health care and social benefits are the same as the rest of the EEC.
The diet in Crete is mostly of organic produce.
The average longevity of life is the highest in Europe.

Reading the following on the main page of their web site makes me think that you should take what they say with a big pinch of salt:

That alone warrants a bucketload of salt! That, in turn blows out the healthy diet.

Ah, it's only a dream so we can keep on dreaming...I'll have that dirt cheap Toyota Land Cruiser to replace my battered old Suzuki Vitara.
