Please keep this as factual as you can and if possible quote sources.
As long as the thread does not get too unwieldy we'll allow comment and opinion on the data in here but if it starts to get busy then comment and opinion will be deleted in favour of data so that information does not get hidden.

If you don't want your to have your comment possibly be deleted (after 3 or 4 days and purely for space/clarity reasons not because of the comment content) then please start a thread outside of this one.

This post is to be an up to date "summary calendar" of up to roughly the 2/3 weeks ahead with historical dates deleted as we move on. Posts below this give the detailed data and sources. Note that those posts below are new and may well be edited and added to as circumstances change or to keep them up to date.

Winter Schedule Greek Museums and sites

A two week sales period in the shops runs from Wednesday 1 November to Wednesday 15 November. The article says it is different in parts of Heraklion but doesn't specify how. I'm not sure how it will be applied in other areas of Crete. Also shops will be open on Sunday 5 November.
