As I understand it the East Med region has had an extended summer this year, no autumn, and a sudden return to winter. Please have a thought for those of us who suffering the worst November cold spell here in the uk for many a year. Here in Northumberland we have over 2ft of level snow, farm buildings collapsing with the weight of snow, motorways closed, snow ploughs damaged by the thick ice, and public transport grinding to a halt, and winter has only just started !
Now all of you get out of your deckchairs and say Ahhhh

I've been spending a week in Yorkshire and loving the snow and ice.. everywhere looks so beautiful. However, I realise it's caused problems for many and I wouldn't want to live with it, and the freezing temperatures, long term.... looking forward to getting back to Crete!
