we are thinking about buying a multi fuel burner so I was wondering if you can get coal in Crete,and where is thE best place to buy a wood burner.

the cretans burn a black dust made from olive pips ground up a little like coal dust, our local taverna papaderos in darmarohori burns it for the central heating system, it`s worth enquiring about i believe it`s quite cheap and burns well.

I can't suggest anywhere specific as you don't say where you are but if Apokoronas/Xania area is anything to go by there are shops selling sombas in all large towns and practically every village of moderate size, e.g. there are at least six within 2 to 3 kilometres of Kalyves and several in Xania. I can't believe other areas are any different.
