If I had any spare cash, I'd fill the van with cans of mushy peas, Asda brown sauce, Cheese & Onion crisps, A4 printing paper, etc. 8)

The last time I checked, paper was £2.50 for a ream but sells at €4.50 here.

Already being done in Apokoronas by someone making regular transport runs to the UK. Sells those things (and home grown Cretan produce, when in season) at many of the car boot and tabletop sales venues, including ours*. If interested in the type of goods look at pics 11, 26 & 14 from 27 May, 24 June and 22 July respectively.

* Table charges are donated to a fund for the benefit of Kalyves people in need of assistance. The venue owner makes no charge for use of the space.

Thanks. The salient point in my post was "If I had any spare cash". Perhaps I was too succinct. Let me clarify: I'm broke.

Just replenished a supply of 80gsm copy paper from IN.KA, Kalyves: €3.50/ream (about £2.80). Have been using it for 3-4 weeks and it's pretty good for general use. 'Er Indoors reckons it's better than we had previously, used in her ink jet. It's fine in my laser, too.

Stocks were running low on the shelves this afternoon and I have no idea if they have more.

If people are desperate for something small there is a web site http://www.pleasebringme.com/ that aims to bring together people living abroad who need something and travellers who might be prepared to carry something in their baggage. It was founded by a Turkish chap, and some friends, who had worked abroad a lot and when he was living back in Turkey there were things he needed that he couldn't get there at all or which were too expensive. Obviously there are risks with such a transaction but it might be useful sometimes?

Warwick

PS I have never used it so this is not a recommendation simply information that it exists.
