Some friends and I went to IKA last Thursday and renewed our 4 books in about 15 minutes. We arrived at 8:45 and the place appeared pretty empty. Our tickets were 31 through 33. The counter above the desk was on 25 but for most of the numbers nobody turned up. All very easy with no hassle. Hand the book over the counter. Handed back job done about 20 seconds later. Certainly no need to use KEP.

Lucky you. We went with our books in early December, sat for 90 minutes and the job was eventually done in about 5 minutes flat. Would have taken even longer had not a number of the tickets 'left the building' so to speak, and didn't appear for their turn.

If (as is rumoured) Greek nationals can renew IKA books on line, does anyone have any sensible idea why that can't be extended to foreigners?

Bob.
