Greece strikes, other potential disruptions & Bank Holidays

Please keep this as factual as you can and if possible quote sources.
As long as the thread does not get too unwieldy we'll allow comment and opinion on the data in here but if it starts to get busy then comment and opinion will be deleted in favour of data so that information does not get hidden.

If you don't want your to have your comment possibly be deleted (after 3 or 4 days and purely for space/clarity reasons not because of the comment content) then please start a thread outside of this one.

The 24hr Strike on Thursday 14th December is now a General Strike with public sector workers, ADEDY union, and private sector GSEE union taking part, as well as local council workers.

I will keep an eye out for any announcments from Air Traffic Controllers and Ferry operators/seafarers.

No FERRIES 14th December
Ships throughout Greece will remain docked next Thursday, 14th December after the Seamens Federation decided to participate in a the 24-hour strike .

The strike will start at 01:00, in the early hours of Thursday morning and continue until midnight.
