No stone unturned ...

Postby Jeffstclair » Fri Jun 08, 2018 11:21 am

I'm still laughing about this .....On my way to the local...ish shops this morning just before I got to the main road into the village ,I see my mate George's JCB digger halfway up the steep verge at a very jaunty angle and him crouched down in front of busily doing some thing ...I pull over and shout does he need any help...he can't hear me above the noise of the engine I get out and scramble up the bank a bit ...and I see what is happening ..he has large boulder one or two tons wedged up with the front bucket and he is filling a bag with snails from underneath ....he grins at me and shouts "κοκλους"...(spelling)....I laugh and say something like ..".κοκλους με τοu JCB."....he grins back and does the index finger tap on his temple ,that says "I'm using my brain "....only in Crete...
